Holly Bulford is an artist currently working in Kent, as a fine art photographer and mostly captures urban landscapes. Often she then uses her photography as a foundation and reworks into computerized embroidery.
Her work, currently still in progress, is a embroidery project titled ‘Fifteen Minutes’, which is a showcase of portraits produced in embroidery, using the colour palette of pop art. The series is inspired by Andy Warhol and his famous quote stating what fame will become, which is a fifteen minute spectacle. In her work Bulford is aiming to give her subjects their own fifteen minutes of fame.
