Reality of journey time

Artist Statement

Xiaozhu Yan is an MA Photography student at UCA, Rochester and her current work focuses on landscape outside windows during journey and its relationship with the indefinite reality and the accidental perception of people. Her work is inspired by the accidental time-lapse photographs of the nineteenth century and borrows the methods from Ori Gersht’s works, exploring people’s perception of travel combined with theoretical foundations of time of photography.
