Georgia Wynne

Artist Statement

Georgia Wynne’s work looks at the relationship she has with her Mother, a relationship that consist of Video chats, phone calls and messages, as her mother lives in Australia. She is experimenting with new ways to involving herself within the images. Wynne is also thinking about the impact of an absent mother has, the idea that she mothered herself. Inspired by artists such as John Clang’s series ‘Being Together’ and Dinu Li’s series “Press the star, then say hello’ Wynne hopes to create something new and engaging.
